Applications are invited from Indian nationals coming from scheduled classifications (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under unique recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, job Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several Departments likewise take part in the mentor and research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and Materials Science Program. Other details:

1. The pay brings all other allowances as admissible to a Central Civil servant stationed at Kanpur.

2. The advantages, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transport allowance, kids education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone bills, book grants, HRA (if housing not supplied), research study initiation grant (as much as Rs 25 lakhs with the provision to use for a supplementary grant) and financial backing towards nationwide and job worldwide conferences shall be permitted based on the Institute standards.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute offers an extra top-up income of Rs 25,000/- each month for the very first 3 years of service to the newly joined faculty members. After three years of service, the professors member(s) are qualified for consideration for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for faculty of age upto 40 years) offering a top-up salary of Rs.15,000/- per month for three years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up wage of Rs 25,000/- per month for three years. Both the positions are offered based upon performance.

4. Traveling allowance for signing up with: The Institute will compensate worldwide for the freshly joined professor job and dependent household members to the maximum limitation of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel repayment will be based on government guidelines.

6. Mere eligibility will not entitle a candidate for being called for interview.

7. Applicants who do not satisfy the minimum experience requirements may be offered an appointment on contract. The requirements of minimum certification and/or experience may be unwinded in the case of prospects with exceptional credentials.

8. The Institute follows the reservation in direct recruitment as per the provisions of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers’ Cadre) Act, 2019. The candidates are needed to send the Caste/ Category/ Disabilities Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India for this purpose. The Institute follows the Central list when it comes to SC/ST, OBC & PwD.

11. Applicants called for and appearing in interview will be paid to and fro economy air fare/train fare by the quickest route (within India) and taxi fare from Lucknow airport to IITK and back. 12. Applicants who are utilized in Government or Semi-Government Organizations will be required to produce a «NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE» from their employer at the time of the interview.
